Psychological Assessment Solutions (PAS) is a community minded, Washington, DC based organization. Owned and operated by clinicians, PAS specializes in comprehensive psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents.

Children in class
Although children and adolescents can display difficulties in vastly different manners, PAS was created to specifically address various school performance and behavior related difficulties seen in these populations. Utilizing thorough assessment techniques and focused therapeutic interventions, PAS works to effectively investigate educational difficulties and modify negative behaviors associated with:
  • Poor Social Skills
  • Depression
  • ADHD
  • Anxiety
  • Trauma
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Anger Management
  • Poor Performance in School
  • Adjustment Difficulties
The PAS mission is to promote excellence in education. This is accomplished by working with schools, children/teens, and parents to identify emotional and achievement barriers. PAS also helps to develop solutions to overcome these barriers as well as building upon an individual child or family's strengths for success.

At PAS, we understand that educational, behavioral, and/or clinical problems are often multifaceted in nature. To better address issues related to these problems, PAS utilizes a biopsychosocial model to explain problems and identify effective solutions. Within this perspective, potential influences from family history, school environment, and interpersonal relations are examined.

In these age groups, most difficulties are manifested in or at least affect school performance through reduced academic achievement or changes behavior. When providing services to parents who have specific questions regarding their child's educational or emotional needs, PAS clinicians will determine the best ways to work with the family and related systems to order to identify and promote steps for improved performance and success. When providing services within a school, PAS clinicians assume a role that blends in with the multidisciplinary culture. This allows an increased ease of collaboration with the key personnel who are vested in the students' educational interests. However, PAS clinicians can provide private assessments to families or organizations seeking timely and comprehensive work products focused on a student's success as the paramount factor for measuring outcomes.
