Richard P. Fleitas, Psy.D., Founder/Director
Dr. Richard Fleitas is a licensed clinical psychologist in the District of Columbia and Virginia. He has extensive experience in psychotherapy as well as in cognitive, achievement, personality, and neuropsychological assessment with children, adolescents, and adults. His specialty areas include mood disorders and posttraumatic stress. Dr. Fleitas has used his clinical and consultation skills in a variety of settings, among them: a neuropsychological private practice, medical clinics, community centers, a military hospital, and numerous schools locally and internationally ranging from preschools to the college level. He is frequently asked to testify as an expert witness in cases involving various aspects of mental health and education as related to children.
Dr. Fleitas received a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Communication from Fairfield University in Connecticut. He spent a year in Guayaquil, Ecuador teaching English as a Second Language and providing various social services in an impoverished area. He later received a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Arlington, Virginia.
Scott R. Swartz, Referral and Services Coordinator
Scott has 40 years of combined industry and consulting health care experience, holding various senior-level management positions in patient financial services and accounts receivable, management of a $50 million business operation, as well as leading revenue cycle transformation initiatives for multi-hospital systems, academic institutions, and managed care organizations. Scott has proven leadership, organizational, analytical, project management, and interpersonal skills, as well as high personal standards of performance. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
